Greetings Aldridge Families,
We are Super Excited to welcome our scholars back to school on Monday, August 18th and 19th.
In an effort to keep you informed, we will provide families with weekly and monthly communication
about school events/activities, important updates, and information that will support us in creating a
safe, welcoming, and academically rigorous school environment.
Welcome Back!
School starts Monday, August 18th, at 8:30 am for grades K-8.
School starts Tuesday, August 19th, at 8:30 am for all PreK students.
➢ Students in grades PreK-2 enter through Door#2.
➢ Students in grades 3-8 enter through Door#1-Main Entrance.
SY 25-26 Attendance Goal
This year, we will focus on ensuring that students are in school daily and on time to ensure optimal
teaching and learning. Students cannot learn, retain learning, or build on learning when absent.
Therefore, we need students to be present every day, all day. Our school attendance goal is
92%. We cannot meet this goal without your support. If your scholar needs to be absent due to any of the following reasons, please contact Ms. Jordan with the reason for absence and send a reason for absence note upon the student’s return to school.

First Day of School Bash Monday, 8/18/25 – During School Hours
School Registration – 8/11, 8/12,8/13, 8/14, 8/15 – 10am-2pm
After School Enrollment – Applications will be available with the CPS registration packet. Fall/Winter Session – 9/8 – 12/18 – 3:45 pm-5:30 pm
Labor Day – No School Monday, 9/1
Open House – Tuesday, 9/2 – 4:30 pm

Aldridge Elementary Dress Code
Aldridge is a uniform school. The standard dress can have a positive impact on students’ learning
and behavior in and around the school. A Uniform Policy and expected Dress Code serve to unite
students, increase school pride, focus on scholarship, and eliminate class barriers that develop when some students cannot afford expensive name-brand clothing. The 2013-14 Local School Council voted on the following School Uniform Policy. As such, the recommended uniform policy for Aldridge Elementary is:
